AURICULAR ACUPUNCTURE 60 MINUTE SESSION
The recipient remains fully clothed in an upright seated position and is observed throughout. Both health an safety protocols are observed at all times. On removal the needles are placed in a sharps disposal bin.
Treatment is not offered for contraindications including the first trimester of pregnancy, haemophilia or blood thinning medications, or to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Auricular Acupuncture is a micro system of Acupuncture which treats the body and mind via the ears.
Treatments include a brief consultation and observation of the ears, as well as an explanation of the process prior to treatment. Treatment will either involve the insertion of 5 needles in/on specific points on both ears, or the placement of press magnets (non needle alternative), on these points. Points selected represent a holistic treatment of the related organs, systems or aspects of the mind and body. Promoting healing, detoxification, and homeostasis.
If you are having a session with me for the first time, the first ten minutes will be a brief consultation where you will be asked to fill out a short form with a few questions about any condition you may have and your general health. With online sessions I will fill in the form on your behalf. Forms are stored securely in line with data protection protocols. In any further sessions, before we begin, I will check in with you about how you are doing.You will have the opportunity to ask questions and I will describe what you can expect to experience during the session. Please refrain from drinking alcohol or taking drugs for at least 24 hours prior to a session. If you are taking prescribed medication continue to take it as advised.
